- Caller ID capability is mostly a firmware thing, but may be limited by
- hardware. It is unlikely, I think, that most manufacturers would add
- such a feature by upgrade, except for some of the more premium
- modems (Courier).

- Voice capable modems are a different animal than a regular fax
- modem.
